Laura Russell, B.Sc., C.R.S.P. (Licensed Paralegal)

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Western Ontario and McGill University, as well as a partial MBA from Lake Superior State College.  Prior to establishing CompClaim Management Inc. in 1988, she spent ten years in heavy industry (primarily steel and automotive parts manufacturing) in progressive Health & Safety and Labour Relations positions.  Laura’s comprehensive knowledge and practical experience enables her to provide expert advice and hands-on assistance to a wide range of employers in various industries across Canada. Laura manages the sales and client operations of CompClaim as well as Safety Program leadership and critical injury/fatality investigations, and appeals representation.

In 2004, Laura earned the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation. She is currently the Chair of the Schedule 2 Employers’ Group (S2Eg), a Member of the Policy and Law Committee of the Employer’s Advocacy Council (EAC), and an Affiliate Member of the Executive of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA).
